I have been giving blood for 6 years now, but 3 years ago after a certain donation process my arm developed a random stabbing pain (as if a needle is being inserted) specifically at the donation site. It will happen, last maybe a second, and then go away, sometimes multiple times a day and other times as infrequently as once a week. Nothing seems to aggravate onset of pain, nor to prevent it. I ve continued to give blood because I figured why not, with the stabbing pain happening anyway. I am in good health and have no history of injuring my arm. This is specific to my right arm, though I have donated via my left arm as well (no resulting chronic pain). What is it and how can I resolve it? It s irritating but I can live with it just fine. Just wondering what it may be.
