What Causes Random Dizziness With Black Outs?

I sometimes feel dizzy upon standing after sitting for a little while even though i usually get up slowly, because I have back and joint issues.I blacked out also the other night after having been laying on the couch. i remember I was getting up to use the bathroom before going to bed. When I came to,I was lying face down with my hands on the sides of my forehead, on the other side of the table that is next to the couch I was on,but don t know how I got there.

hi,
welcome to HCM.
you are probably having postural hypotension. This causes sudden drop in the blood pressure as you stand from sitting posture mostly due to pooling of blood in legs.
You need to check up your blood pressure and see if you have this. you may need increased doses of salt if your blood pressure is low, which will solve your problem.
If low BP is not the problem, you need a thorough examination to rule out more serious causes.
hope this helped.
