What Causes Raised, Tender And Sore Spot On Buttocks?

I get a blistery, raised, tender sore spot on my buttocks. Always the exact same spot. Have had it about 5 times now. Usually not frequently, like a year or so inbetween bouts, but this time it has only been a couple months. I suspect a staph infection. Does it sound like it to you? I have never gone to the doctor with it, but use antibiotic ointments, Dr. Gorshels sauve, etc. and after a couple weeks, it usually goes away. Any ideas?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
hello there,
you might be having an allergic reaction to the detergent used to wash your underwear. You can reduce this by washing your intimate apparel in hypoallergenic detergent and rinsing them thoroughly after the wash cycle. the raised sore spots on repeated occurrence suggest an allergic rather than infective condition.
hope this helps,
