What Causes Pus Filled Lump Along The Hairline Of A Child?

My 3 year old has a ringworm on the edge of her hairline I ve been applying an antifungal cream and washing it with antibacterial soap daily it then started to go away and came back but now it has puss and a large lump underneath it what am I doing wrong? She has also been taking a prescribed antibiotic by mouth

It is possible that the ringworm , which is fungal, may have be secondarily infected with bacteria.

The antibacterial soap would help with bacteria, not fungi but if there is a secondary infection then it would be appropriate. This also applies to the antibiotic (would help a bacterial infection not fungal infection).

It may be best to take her to her doctor for review to see if any of the medications need adjusting.
