What Causes Pus Filled Boil In Inner Thigh Area?

I woke up with a boil on my top inner thigh witch had puss in the centre today i woke up and the puss had gone and the rounded shape has come down to be more flat on the skin but on toaching it i can still feel the lump deep under my skin witch has changed ahape and is very sore today and has a red ring around it..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your query a pus filled boil on the inner thigh, of which the pus has drained off and there is a lump under the skin with a red skin can be due to causes like hair follicle infection or folliculitis while can also be due to infected gland in the area..
As the pus has drained off you need not to worry as it will get resolved soon..
As of now you can start applying a combination of a steroid and antibiotic ointment over it..
You should also do cool compresses over it to reduce inflammation..
You should also avoid scratching the area to prevent spread of infection..
In case if it worsen consult a General Physician and get evaluated..
