What Causes Puffiness Behind The Clavicle Along With Nasal Congestion?

Hi, In August I had a middle ear infection that gave me a week of headaches, painful ears, especially my left. I saw ENT who put me on 10 days of antibiotics. I also changed my allergy tab to a different brand and started Flonase. The ear issue cleared up but I still have puffy area behind left clavicle that I noticed in August. It seems inflamed and irritated now, my bra strap in uncomfortable. I also have some nasal congestion now. Mainly concerned with shoulder ache and puffiness. Advice? I am scheduled for follow up with ENT next week.

Hi,

Noted your history about having puffiness of the area behind clavicle in spite of clearing of the ear condition after taking an antibiotic and so on.
The cause of the puffiness with pain and irritation can be due to a different reason than the ear and nose condition that you are already treated for.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Consult your Primary Doctor to get a proper clinical examination for clinical evaluation and examination.
Ultrasound Or CT scan will help further and FNAC will give differential diagnosis if there is a definite lump.
Once a proper diagnosis is made it will be easy to get as specific treatment.
Continue the treatment for the nasal and ear conditions till the problem is fully resolved as these conditions take 3 weeks to have complete resolution.
