What Causes Prolonged Vaginal Bleeding Post Intake Of Ovacet Forte?

hi, this is Susmita (age 26, hight 5 7 weight 89 Kgs) .I was prescribed Ovacet forte for 3 months due to irregular period on 20 th Jan 16. Now, the problem is that I am facing continuous bleeding for last 7 days while I have examination tomorrow. Should I stop the medicine now, or please help me. thank u in advance.

Thanks for the query.I understand your problem.
Ovacare forte is a combination of micronutrients with B12, folic acid & antoxidents. along with specific nutrients to support treatment of PCOD. It makes body conditions more favorable for natural cure or medicinal treatment for PCOD.
It does not have any hormonal content. So the prolong bleeding you have does not seem to be tit's effect, Rather it's a symptom of OCOD itself.
So stopping Ovacare will not affect / stop the bleeding. You should continue with it & consult your gynecologist for prescription of hormonal pills to control this bleeding. I prefer to start capsule CVP gynae 1 three times a day & Tab. Regestrone 1 pill twice a day( 12 hourly ) till bleeding stops , followed by one pill a day ( at fixed time ) to complete 20 pills.
Still I would advise for consulting your treating doctor to make personal variations in dosage..( for better effect ) & follow up treatment.
