What Causes Prolonged Periods Along With Vaginal Blood Tissue Discharge?

I had a tubal almost 13 yrs ago. I have been on my menstrual cycle for 9 days now (my normal is 5 day). About 30 mins ago I went to the bathroom and when I wiped I had tissue approximately 2 long. No cramping or anything else, is it something to be concerned about? This has never happened, passing what looks like clots every moth does but never this.

Hi,

Thanks for posting in HCM.

Discharge of blood stained tissue is a matter of concern. It could be due to increased growth from endometrium or growth in cervix.

You need to get an ultrasound abdomen done to know weather the tissue is originating from endometrium lining uterine cavity or from cervix.

Kindly get examined by a Gynecologist for the clinical examination along with the ultrasound report for further confirmation and management.

Hope the information provided will be helpful.
All the best.
