Hi,

I understand your concerns.

The lump your friend is having in his left ear since last 2 weeks is suggestive for possible infection. If the lump is located in the external ear, then, most probable cause could be fungal and bacterial infection.

Deco 10 ear drop contains a mixture of dexamethasone (steroid anti-inflammatory medication) and chloramphenicol (broad spectrum antibiotic).
You can also use an anti-fungal ear drop; however, to my opinion, he needs oral therapy along with topical treatment.

In such cases, ketoconazole orally together with chlarythromycin can also help. Discuss this further with his doctor!
Wish fast recovery!
