General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Often changes in menstrual flow have to do with hormonal shifts. This should self-regulate in a few months. If it does not, then you may need to go on birth control pills for a few months to straighten out the hormones.

See your doctor for a check for anemia if the heavy bleeding persists or if you begin to feel fatigued easily.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Kathy Robinson
