What Causes Prolonged Menstrual Bleeding While On Rigevidon Contraceptive Pill?

Hello! I just started taking the Rigevidon contraceptive pill and I m only on the first pack however I noticed after my 7 days of being on my period, I thought the bleeding would stop but I still have a little amount of blood? Almost like little break outs. It s not a huge amount and it s only a light colour, I ve read into it and it seems most people experience the same for the first 3 months! But I just wanted to be sure?

Hello dear
Understand your concern.
I think it is side effects of contraceptives pill as you are using first time.

Note the common side effects of Rigevidon contraceptive pill :
Intermenstrual spotting
Nausea
Breast tenderness
Irregular periods/prolonged/scanty bleeding
nausea, headaches or weight change.
Headache
Malaise, weakness
Weight gain
Mood changes: due to hormonal imbalance
Decreased libido
Vaginal discharge
Visual changes

Advice:
Take tablet meftal saps three times a day if pain.
All this side effects will decrease after 2-3 months of regular use of pills as body get adapated
Take healthy diet
Avoid excessive stress, alcohol, salt and caffeine.
Do regular exercise.
