Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 4 year old Grandson has had a fever of 100 for six days. He has seen a doctor who has diagnosed his problem as a virus. He is coughing but other than the fever, seems normal. Is it unusual or dangerous for a child to have a fever for this many days?
hello there, looks like your grandson is having viral infection only. Though I would suggest you to do whatever investigation the pediatrician has asked to rule out other causes of fever. If there is no high grade fever and no other symptoms apart from coughing then in few days with appropriate treatment your grandson must recover.
