What Causes Pressure On The Scalp Around The Area Of A Temporal Lobectomy?

I had a right temporal lobectomy in 1986 for curative tx of petit mal seizures. Occasionally the drill holes are sensitive. Of lately, although difficult to describe, that area of my head feels like there s some pressure in the area of the drill hole at the top right area of my scalp. I also have had an itchy right cheek for the last week. I have no other symptoms. Is this something I should see my doctor for? I am not on any medications and have been seizure free since the surgery.

Hello,

You may be developed paraesthesia over the scalp or it may be due to raised ICT pressure or it may be due to a migraine.

Until examination is done clinically or by scanning it is difficult to say what it is. Please consult your neuro physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
