What Causes Pounding Heart Along With Tiredness While On Coumadin?

Heart feels like it is pounding. Have atrial fib and history of GI bleed. Am on Coumadin. Have felt very tired all day. June last year had hgb of 6.8 and received 4 units of blood. Had no further bleeding and Hgb has been above 12. should I make a trip to local ER. Have pulmonary hypertension and on oxygen at night.

many patient in hospital complain of tiredness while on warfarin (Coumadin). as we know that many medication can causes tiredness .warfarin(Coumadin) can causes tiredness too..but the exact mechanism by which it causes tiredness is not know ..I read out your history ..and in your history you says that you have atrial fibrillation. .the pounding and tiredness is due to atrial fibrillation. ..the benificial effect of warfarin in atrial fibs is that it prevent clot formation which in turn prevent stroke..
