What Causes Pounding Headaches And Imbalance?

Hi, My mother has a pounding headache all the time with no pain and now feeling inbalance. What could this be. She is 80 years old on HBP pills and I ll be taking her to a cardiologist as soon as I get an appointment but in the meantime we are just wondering what it could be.

Thanks for posting your query.

Headache with imbalance could be due to either extremely high BP or Vision problem or due to problems in brain . I advise you to get her Bloop pressure checked immediately and if it is extremely high take her to ER immediately.

But if her BP is normal then get her eyes checked and if her eye are also normal then she requires evaluation to find the cause of Imbalance. For that she needs to get Serum Vitamin B12 levels and if it is in normal range she has to get MRI Brain done .
