Once the pregnancy has been completely terminated, it gradually reduces until it is undetectable. So if you test during this period, it will give you a positive test. However, medical abortion doesn t always work. In few cases , the pregnancy continues. This can be checked by testing for the beta-HCG levels on two separate days (2 days apart) and see if it is reducing significantly.
