ASO is anti streptolysin O antigen. It is positive in streptococcal infection. Titre of greater Than 200 units/ml is consider to be positive. rheumatic fever, post streptococcal glomerulonephritis, scarlet fever, erysipelas. The causative agent for skin infection is probably streptococcus. As you have started treatment and did not responded to it, you should start with it broad spectrum antibiotics like linezolid, vancomycin.
