What Causes Popping Sensation In Throat With Partial Hearing Loss?
Hi I am a white female, 24 years old with 2 children. when I push on the side of my throat my throat gives a popping sensation. I have a swollen throat and its a little sore.... i have lost partial hearing in one of my ears and my other ear is in mild pain. My face is flushed in the cheek and forehead area and I have absolutely no energy along with sweating profusely. I am also taking adipex for weight loss.
Your symptoms are suggestive of a sinus and throat infection. For this reason, I would recommend consulting with your attending physician for a physical exam and some tests: - A throat discharge bacterial culture - Complete blood count, PCR, ESR for inflammation - A sinus X ray study - ASO titer for streptococcal infection.
Antibiotics may be needed. You should discuss with your doctor on the above tests.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
