What Causes Poor Memory While On Gabapentin?

I am on gabapetin 100 mg 3 times a day. I do notice forgetfulness on some things I should know. Also, I found out my blood sugar went from 90 to 101. The time fram was from July 11, 16 to Sept 9, 16. Dom you think there is a problem with the medication?

The role of Gabapentin for forgetfulness and blood sugar increased cannot be denied. Although there is limited data to support its role some of the cases have been documented when some patients experience these side effects. But, there can be other factors also that may cause these things. You can discuss with your healthcare provider for a substitute for Gabapentin and observe if these effects decrease or resolve. This will be a definitive method to know the causal role of Gabapentin for these effects.
