My 32 yr old son told me he quit drinking alcohol 2 days ago. He has been heavy drinker. I ve noticed you can have a conversation with him and he forgets and asks the same question. I went over to help him put up shutters because we will be getting hurricane in a couple of days. he said his wrists and hands are painful and was holding his right hand. He was having a hard time holding the drill. He said he has also vomited clear liquid. He is not doing this under medical supervision. Is that common to have wrist pain, I know someone detoxing can have body pain like flu. I am concerned because he is doing this cold turkey, he may run into some problems. He has no insurance. I don t live with him, but will be staying at his house during hurricane. I am concerned he might have complications because he is not being medically supervised. Trying to get him to see a Dr. Would the wrist pain be something, like body aches which is normal with detoxing?
