What Causes Pinkish Vaginal Discharge After Treated For Bacterial Vaginosis?

Hello I was recently given medicine for bacterial vaginitis. Was told to apply the cream once before bed for five nights. This was my third night. I went to the bathroom just before applying the medicine and then experienced a strange discharge with like little chunks of like a pinkish red color. My period is due in about two days but this had never happened before. Any ideas at what this is our what caused it

Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. The pinkish discharge you are having is likely due to the vaginal cream you are applying. The ointment agglutinates into chunks after a few hours and this is is the reason why you are experiencing this type of discharge.
I suggest you not to worry and continue the treatment as advised.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
