Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Welcome to HCM

Goin by your description, It seems that he must be suffering from Dacrocystitis (Inflammation of lacrimal sac- the drainage system of tear from eye)

He would require oral antibiotics like amoxicillin with clavulunate twice a day for 5 days and pain killers and antiinfllamatory drugs like paracetomol with acelofenac twice a day for five days.

Add topical moxifloxacin eye drops five times a day for a week.

if it doesnt subside in 3 to 5 days - you will need to consult your ophthalmologist.

hope this helps
