What Causes Pinching Feeling In Upper Left Abdominal Quadrant?
I have a pinching feeling in my upper left abdominal quandrant in the top part of my stomach. I ve had it for 2 years now. It started when I coughed real hard and it never went away since. It is on and off and feels like something is pinching the inside of my stomach. Do you know what it could be?
Abnormal types of pain may be due to neuralgia which is nerve related pain.
Neuralgia can be due to different possible causes and if it is confirmed and severe there are medications that may help.
The different possible causes are: (1) vitamin b12 or folate deficiency (2)diabetes (3)infection (4)liver or kidney disease (5)trauma (6)side effect of medication (7)exposure to toxins (8)hormonal disease
Your doctor can examine and assess to determine if the discomfort is due to neuralgia and treat appropriately
I hope this helps
