What Causes Pimple Like Bumps On Penis?

Hi,My wife and I have recently noticed that my penis has gotten many pimple like bumps on the head and shaft which have an itch from time to time. We ve been looking and looking for what it could be but we aren t sure what it is? The only thing that matches as closely is genital herpes but I havent slept with anyone other than my wife since our last check up and neither has she. Thanks!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Herpes looks like fluid filled blister rashes and will be associated with burning sensation, pain and itching. But if these symptoms are not there and it is small whitish rashes then it can be most likely Fordyce spots. This is modified sebaceous glands and is harmless. You can take more garlic and antioxidants for getting rid off this. Applying tretinoin cream locally also will be helpful. If you send a picture of the rash then it will be more helpful in identifying.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
