General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It is very likely the brain atrophy that is causing the need for antidepressants and antiseizure pills and also the personality changes. It is very important to determine the cause of the brain atrophy and if this is something that can be treated or slowed down with treatment.

Antidepressants may cause some changes in the first 2-3 weeks causing the patients to be more irritable and anxious but this effect generally subsides after 2-3 weeks.

I hope this answers your query.
I remain at your disposal for further medical assistance.
