Hi,
Welcome To HCM & Thanks For Asking Your Query Here

These hormone containing pills elevates your Blood progesterone levels which decreases the shedding of endometrial lining and so stop the bleeding ,the process is gradual and it will take some time to completely stop the bleeding

sometimes it takes a bit longer than usual but if you are experiencing heavy bleeding then it must be further evaluated
your dr may prescribe Norethisterone injections with some medicines like ethamsylate to stop heavy bleeding

Finally i would strongly suggest you to see Your gynecologist to further evaluate the condition

I hope it help
Thanks & Get well Soon
