I been having this uncomfortable pain on the rectum for two or three years and no body has an idea what that is. I had see a lot of doctors but they don t have a clued. I m desperate I don t know what to do. this pain is like burning sensation and only happen most of the time at night time. It s so uncomfortable that wakes me up and can t sleep. please help me
Hello dear Understand your concern. I think you are suffering from variant of protalgia fugax. In which problem in the pudendal nerve occur. It cause contraction of levator ani muscle produce pain particularly at night. For this: Take warm sitz bath for 20-30 minutes regularly Warm enema Stool softner like lactulose
Also note the other cause: Inflammatory bowel disease Cancer of large intestine Proctitis Constipation Chronic piles or hemorrhoids Pelvic infection
For exact diagnosis Consult the gastroenterologist and undergo following tests: 1. Colonoscopy Abdominal USG Rectal examination CBC, blood sugar, ESR, Biopsy affected area in endoscopy
