Last night I started getting numbness in the left side of tongue, lower left gum and cheek, has persisted today. Comes and goes. Hi..
Thanks for the query..

Well the symptoms of numbing of one side of face can be due to causes like compression of branches of Trigeminal nerve, trauma to the nerve, brain injury or transient ischemic attack..
At times severe anxiety and panic attack can be a cause..
I would suggest you to consult an Emergency room and get evaluated..
You can be advised blood test and MRI scan to narrow down the cause and treatment can be done according to that..
As of now you can start doing alternate warm and cool packs over the affected side, take Vitamin B complex and zinc supplements..
Drink sufficient water and take appropriate rest..

Hope this helps..

Regards .
