What Causes Persistent Light Bleeding During Periods?

My period started to show on day 19/20, with light bleeding up to today, day 25. I ve had cramping, and a fever for two days last week with continued fatigue. I had unprotected sex on day 13. Can the fever, which I think was a virus, bring on the period early? I don t have other symptoms (UTI, eg). Thank you.

As a physician I would like to tell you that there is absolutely no connection between your periods coming early and fever. There is some cyclical fluctuation in women despite having regular periods due to Hormonal fluctuations. Thus, I would suggest that you should not worry about a thing and have peace of mind.
