What Causes Persistent Flu Symptoms Along With Acute Nausea?
I m on day 6 of having the flu and for the past two days have experienced acute nausea. What is going on? I m trying to keep hydrated and eat (though I have no appetite). I ve literally been in bed for days. Am on amoxicillan for sinus infection as well. My WBC was 1.9 when I went to the ER a couple of nights ago. I thought I was having a heart episode (chest felt full, lungs burning, heart felt like it was racing all over the place) but those tests all checked out negative.

You are having mostly acute viral infection of respiratory tract or pharyngitis.
Because of sore throat and as it is infection nausea can occur.
Your total count is 1,900 which is low , it can occur in acute infection.Treat your infection symptomatically.
Like decongestive treatment for relief from congestion.Like antihistaminic or for blocked nose oxymetazoline nasal drops.
Steam inhalation good.
For few days avoid spicy and fatty food minimum.
Drink more water with fruit juice.
Onion , garlic good for respiratory tract, included in diet.
You had heart burning and heaviness could be by gastric problem like acidity or simple stomatitis , take omeprazole for that.
If your symptoms increasing then chest x ray done to look for consolidation if fever present.
If abdominal right side pain present do your Liver function test to rule out early hepatitis like condition.
