What Causes Persistent Diarrhea And Stomach Cramps?
My son just called from college and said he has had diarrhea all semester, along with what sounds like stomach cramping when he has to go. But the symptoms disappear after he goes (temporarily, anyway). He s only telling me now because he s worried because tonight, he had a lot of blood come out with the diarrhea. He also said he feels bloated a lot, like he has a gut but he doesn t. He is 19 years old, 6 , 205 lbs, and is very active as he is a college football player. No weight loss, but we have noticed that he often can t eat a full meal without a break , sometimes he ll throw up after a meal, and he belches constantly and feels like he has acid reflux. He uses a CPAP machine, just FYI. Any thoughts?
