General & Family Physician 's  Response
Persistent cough related to chronic diseases or allergy.

If its chronic, coughing over 2 weeks, hemoptoe/ blood cough, loss of appetite, loss of body weight, it might be tuberculosis. A simple sputum check and radiology exam could reveal it.

If its allergy, then it might be good to have skin prick test. Since you mention it that the cough get worse every morning, It has a strong indication for allergy.

Amoxicilin is an anti-microbial agent which is not for symptomatic disease but for curing an infectious disease and SHALL not be given every day or having a symptoms. Its given by regimen and with blood analysis.

Thank you.
