What Causes Persistent Bowel Movements And Flatulence?

Hi. I m sorry, but no insurance to go to doctor. I have a history o pancreatitis, but this is different. I ve been to the bathroom about 30 times in the past 2 /12 days. I ve had sour stomach for that duration, and intense gas, but no nausea or pain. What could this be?

Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

You may have an infection of the gastrointestinal tract. This can be viral or bacterial with viral infections being most common.

Symptoms normally only last a few days.

Treatment consists of : (1) holding off all solid food till there is a 4 hour window of no diarrhea

When this 4 hours occurs, you can start with small amounts of dry solid food such as toast, biscuits, plain rice

(2)drink a lot of fluids to replace the fluids that you are losing with diarrhea

(3)probiotics

(4)peptobismol may help

I hope this helps
