Hello Doctor. I had sex today, and when I finished having sex and checked my penis skin and I had an open cut that had some blood coming out of it. I was a little scared of it, and I wanna know if it is safe to put medicine on it? The cut is under the foreskin and when I put my skin back up the cut is touching the penis.
Penile cut commonly occurs at the frenulum as the skin is somewhat loose whether the penis is flaccid or erect.
It happens due to thrusting in sexual intercourse, rough masturbation, doing physical activities like riding a bike, playing sports & manual labor.
Cut on the penis heals by itself, nothing to bother. You can either apply hydrocortisone or Neosporin ointment.
Take care of your hygiene, avoid sex for a couple of days. Avoid multiple partners & always go for protected sex(use condoms).
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
