What Causes Pelling Up Of Vaginal Skin?

For the last few months I have been experiencing moist, peeling skin on the outer region of my vagina. Also, the skin splits sometimes. It feels like I am too wet down there all the time. The peeling skin is on my labia and clitoris and lips. I can only describe it as tissue paper peeling. It occurs twice a day and I shower frequently. I have been tested for STDs and the results were negative. Also, all discharge is normal. Any ideas what it could be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be most likely due to allergic to some chemicals or eczema. It can be from the soap you using or from detergents you use for your undergarments. You should avoid using soaps and irritants to wash the genital area and you can use saline or warm water for washing. Creams with aloe Vera and vitamin E will be helpful also. If that is not helping then creams with corticosteroid like betamethasone will be helpful. Also use mild detergents for undergarments.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
