What Causes Peeling If Skin Between Vagina And Inner Thigh?

Hello, I just finished showering and noticed that the skin (crease) between my vagina and inner thigh is peeling. Upon closer inspection I was able to peel away the skin. This left an exposed piece of red skin underneath. It s not burning or itching. But really freaked out. Please help.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello,

As per your case history, you are suffering from Intertrigo. My treatment advice is:

1. Maintain good hygiene and bath twice daily.
2. Apply an antifungal cream like Clotrimazole cream twice daily on it.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like Levocetirizine twice daily for 7 to 10 days.
4. Other treatment options are oral Fluconazole, Itraconazole and Terbinafine taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshit Bhachech
