General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

It is due to progressive constipation. As a first line management you can take laxatives like lactulose for symptomatic relief. If symptoms persist better to consult a gastroenterologist and plan for a colonoscopy to rule out structure or growth obstructing the lumen.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
