General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, thanks for reaching out.

I understand your concern.
Pale patches over the skin or hypopigentation as called may have a few listed causes, such as Albinism, vitiligo, fungal infection, Pityriasis alba, vitamin D deficiency, if associated with itching and light scales may indicate psoriasis, eczema, etc.

Visiting a Dermatologist or skin specialist is advisable for a physical examination, detailed family history and small scraping of the skin (biopsy) if needed. Treatment is based on the cause accordingly.

Hope this helps.
Take care,
Regards,
Dr Vignan Rachabattuni
