What Causes Pale Spot On The Face Embedded By Darker Edges?

Hello, I have a spot on my face that is circular and reminds me of ring worm, darker around edges and light normal looking skin inside circle. It has just developed over the last few days, I am 49 and heavy set 300 lbs. Can you get ringworm on your face?

Thanks for asking me this question.

You mentention in your complain that dark circle center skin is normal.This is typical sign of ringworm.

In ringworm infection pinkish red patch 1 to 5 cm around cheek ,nose ,eye area around. skin is raised at edge part of lesion and normal at center part of lesion. This is typical sign of ringworm infection.


You have to meet skin specialist.Generally scrap the lesion and make a slide examine under microscope and then confirm the ringworm infection.

If it confirm that ringworm infection then start antifungal cream.Meconazole ,clotrimazole etc use as antifungal drugs.

Antifungal cream apply over lesion area and around normal skin area also.Continue this drug still this lesion is present.

Avoid touching this lesion area so it is not spread other part of body.
