Just saw my speech pathologist, she has been monitoring a small nodule/callose on one of my vocal chords. I sing and have caused it through use and abuse I guess. So anyway, she was looking today via a scope thru my nose and when she was finished she asked if my throat hurt, I said no, and she said at the base of my tounge i had lots of red spots that looked like measles, that's what she likened them to. Then she played the video back and showed me. They are painless so I don't know what to make of them. Could these red spots be a reaction to eating a lot of pineapple, sort of a geographic tounge response? Have any ideas? Do cancers present like this? I also have GERD, so could that also cause small red spots?
