What Causes Painful Visible Bright Blue Veins On Forearm?

I am 21 years old and have bright blue and bulging veins on my left forearm. There is some tingling and shooting pains. I went to a cardiologist last month because of chest pressure and all tests came back normal. The dark veins are really starting to scare me.

Hello,

It is quite normal to have dark veins in the arms, especially when the skin is too white and the patient has a thin constitution. From the other hand, if you have a normal cardiac ultrasound, there is no reason to panic, as it also monitors your venous systemic pressure. You should discuss with your doctor on this test.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
