What Causes Painful Underarms, Stiff Neck, Nausea And Lightheadedness?

I've been experiencing strange symptoms for the last week. Left underarm pain, neck tightness-as if my head is too heavy for my neck, feel faint and lightheaded, nauseous at times, fatigued, and a feeling of blah.. I've had EKGs performed, and bloodwork done-all normal. Also, BP of 166/106 before taking lisinoprol. Just not sure what could be wrong with me.

Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of painful underarms, stiff neck, nausea and lightheadedness is mainly because of temporomandibular joint dislocation of inflammation of temporomandibular joint or also due to bruxism. The symptoms can also occur due to condition like lymphadenopathy. Throat infection and swollen tonsils are one of the possible reasons for your condition. I would suggest you to visit ENT specialist/ dentist once and get it examined completely. If it is due to TMJ disorder then go for mouth stretching exercises, blow in blow out are of the the exercises. If it is related to throat infection take proper course of antibiotics such as Azithromycin. Do warm saline gargles. Do betadine rinses. Maintain hygiene of oral cavity. Take anti-inflammatory drugs. Start taking Tylenol for neck pain and apply warm compresses on stiff neck .

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes,
