What Causes Painful Sensations In The Groin Area?

This is new to me, but I ve heard of these symptoms. For several days I ve had twinges in my groin muscles when I walk (only) that were more annoying than anything else. Today at work then here at home the twinges have become VERY painful at times. When I m sitting I m fine; it s only when I walk that I have pain. The pain is very high in my groin area.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
You seem to have irritation of nerve supplying the groin area at hip joint or lumber spine level. the nerve irritation leads to contraction of muscles which are painful.
You need to consult an orthopedic surgeon for physical evaluation with imaging investigations to ascertain point of trouble followed by specific treatment ( which can be medicines to relieve damage to nerve (Rest along with anti inflammatory pills, vitamin B12, local steroid injection/physiotherapy/ surgery in non relieving spinal compression)
Thanks.
