What Causes Painful Cramps In The Calves?

Each night the muscles in my calves and feet start firing and several times each night I have to jump out of the bed to stop very painful cramps that occur in lower legs and feet. I have been drinking lots of water, pedialyte, potassium is normal, take vitamins...what can I do to stop these nerve firings and muscle cramps?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to low vitamin d levels in blood. It is better to check your vitamin d3 and b12 levels in blood. Taking supplements of d and vitamin b12 will be helpful. Also wear stockings.
Thanks.
