What Causes Painful Bartholin S Gland Cyst?

Hi I m an 18 year old girl I suffer from bartholins gland cysts - this is my fourth time getting them and they only started late last year - I have gotten them one at a time and sometimes two they are very painful and embarrassing for me is there any way I can get rid of these for good ?

Hello,

You may need to make sure you do not have a sexually transmitted infection favoring the infection of Bartholin's glands.
If you have an STD both you and your partner/s should be treated with antibiotics at the same time and sexual intercourse avoided during treatment.

If there is no STD present then the only treatment for recurrent Bartholinitis is surgery with marsupialization which means stitching the sides of the capsule of the cyst so it does not close and forms again.
