What Causes Pain Under The Rib Cage While Suffering From Fatty Liver?

I was diagnosed with fatty liver about 10 years ago. Lately I have had trouble when I bend over like a cramp under my right rib..it feels like it moves on top of my rib...what is this and how do I fix it. I do not drink and started today doing a process of recording all food intake . I also have IBS which has been severe lately.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The pain seems possible fat accumulation over the tummy with swelling in the liver by the old existing fatty liver.

Control of body weight, blood sugar, cholesterol and liver function will give better results in this instance.

Strict avoidance of smoking if doing.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
