What Causes Pain Under The Left Shoulder Blade While Having Breast Cancer?

I am having pain under my left shoulder blade. It started feeling like it was radiating from my chest to my back. Right now it feels like a fullness in my back and it is feeling like it s getting hard to take a deep breath. This has been going on for 2 days now. I have a hx of breast cancer and just had implants put in on November 15th of this year. I am taking flexaril 10 mg and diliduad 2 mg po. On medication I still feel it but not as bad. Any thoughts?

Hello,

Possible causes are like muscle spasm or secondaries to the thoracic bones or pleural effusion due to malignancy etc.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Get it done a chest x-ray, bone scan. Use tablet tramadol with paracetamol twice a day for five days.

If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
