What Causes Pain On The Right Knee Despite Taking Pregabalin For Meralgia Paresthetica?
Hello doctor,Have been diagnosed with nerve entrapment a.k.a meralgia parasthetica since last 1 month on my right leg s front part of the thigh just above the knee. Have taken around 5 injections of Vit.B complex and hav been advised to take single dose of Pregabalin 75mg and Oxcarbazepine 150mg for the next 30 days. Even though there is a reduction in the size of area of numbness, but there is an increase in frequency of high pinching pain sensation in a small part of the affected area which sometimes gets worse at nights.. till 2 months back i was regularly playing badminton for an hour or two as a fitness purpose for around a decade and half and have maintained my weight at 75-76kgs/181cms height. Please advice regarding my medication and how soon can i start my playing routine.
It could be a ligament or tendon related problem. As a first line management you can take analgesics like paracetamol or Aceclofenac for pain relief. Consult an orthopedic and plan for an MRI scan to get a better clinical picture.
