What Causes Pain On The Face And Eyes After A Nasal Endoscopy?

Hi, I had a nasal endoscopy yesterday to look at sinus and my larynx. During the procedure my face and eye (on the side of my nose that the camera was inserted) started to hurt severley. It s still a bit sore. I don t understand why since the scope was directed down my throat.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Kindly mention your clinical complaint and detail history for giving more comment.

You might have chronic sinusitis like infection, for which endoscopy procedure might be done.

If severe pain present, then you can again consult otorhinolaryngologist to look for any injury, if present.

Provide your reports for giving further comment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
