What Causes Pain Near Left Side Of The Ear?

I am having pain near the leftside of ear since last Saturday. No ear infection. Pain is awful when I attempt to eat or chew. I had a dental xray on Monday...No sign of TMJ, but it feels like my upper jaw near (L) ear is fracture or something....

I wear a full lower partial...that is ill fitting....due to bone lost

I have seen a doctor and nuerlogist to rule out "TN" trigeminal neurelgia

hello thanx for the queiry.since you have ruled out no tmj problem,no ear pain..kindly check for third molar eruption status.may be you are having referred pain from third molar hence may be pain on chewing food.did you have any recent fall??since you feel you might have a fracture..kindly get a cone beam ct scan for the region.to rule out fracture..hope ot helps..take care..
